"There are two ways of meeting difficulties: you alter the difficulties, or you alter yourself to meet them." - Phyllis Bottome
359 Negotiations: A Framework for Generating Positive Outcomes
Negotiating to get to a desired result is complicated and requires a great deal of skill and patience. But when you add constituents and communities with diverse ideas, values, and interests, successful negotiations seem impossible. Getting to solutions that meet individual needs while promoting the public good requires mutual respect, effective communication, and the ability to understand the other parties’ perspective.
In this interactive course, participants will learn how to collect and distill critical data, identify commonalities, develop a framework for engagement that preserves relationships, and implement effective strategies that result in winning solutions for all parties involved.
